Dr. Lopez is a Duke City native who is committed to world-class dental care for everyone who walks through our doors. He works alongside his trusted team to give patients confidence in their smiles and oral health.
He was raised in Albuquerque and has practiced periodontics here for over three decades. His father, brother, and other family members have also practiced dentistry in the Land of Enchantment.

He has developed a team of experienced dental professionals and an exceptional front office staff; some of them have been working with him for decades. They’ve participated in Mission of Mercy, a program to provide dental care for underserved populations.
When he’s not treating patients at our dental office in Albuquerque, Dr. Lopez enjoys spending time with his wife, Diane, a dental hygienist. He also meditates and plays golf. His favorite pastimes aren’t all laid-back; he is also a former professional motorcycle racer.

After graduating dental school, he completed a surgical internship and a specialty program in periodontology at the VA Center in Leavenworth, KS, and at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He became the youngest director of residency training in the country.
